Marine and boat trade shows are a popular fixture in the Australian boating scene.
In fact, public exhibitions are scheduled in the country whole-year round! If you live in WA, QLD, NSW, or SA, here is a list of the marine and boat trade shows that occur within your respective states.
SA Boat and Fishing Show
26-28 October 2018
The world-class SA Boat & Fishing Show will be showcasing the best in boating and fishing that South Australia has to offer.
The attractions and entertainment will run non-stop from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Adelaide Showground in Goodwood, Wayville. Some of the boating exhibitors include Adelaide Canoe Works, Elite Ski Boats, Lonsdale Marine, and Yamaha Pitmans Marine.
Given the volume of visitors expected, public catering, private parents room, ATMs, public telephones, and ramps/lifts for disabled visitors will be provided. There are also more than 2,000 parking spaces available for a small fee. Driving visitors can easily access the venue via Goodwood Road, Anzac Highway or Greenhill Road.
Tickets are priced at $18 for adults, $9 for children 12-15 yrs old, and FREE for children below 12 yrs old. Concession price is at $14.
Robe Boat Show, SA
19-20 January 2019
Promising to showcase everything from one-man dinghies to luxury catamarans and yachts, the Roba Boat Show is a highly anticipated event located in South Australia’s Limestone Coast region.
Over 2 days there will be a range of great entertainment for all ages amongst the incredible display of boats and marine vessels, as well as caravan and camping and luxury vehicles.

Rosehill Trailer Boat Show
6-7 April 2019
In NSW, the next boat exhibition to look forward to at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse along James Ruse Dr in Rosehill. It’s called the Rosehill Trailer Boat Show, and it’s absolutely FREE! The event will highlight water adventures including kayaks, fishing boats, canoes, and tinnies.
One of the much-awaited parts of the Rosehill Trailer Boat Show is the return of Mega Fishing Tank –the largest fishing demonstration tank in all of Australia. This tank is 21 metres in length and contains about 14,500 litres of water and live fishes for educational and entertainment purposes. If you want to learn how to catch different fishes using varieties of lures, then this event for you is a must for you.
Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show
23-26 May 2019
Showcased over 4 huge days at the luxury Sanctuary Cove precinct on the sunny Gold Coast, SCIBS is one of the biggest boat shows in the country, drawing in over 45,000 visitors in 2018. Running from 9am – 5pm daily, there is plenty of action for boaties and their families.
2019 is looking to be a huge year with hundreds of boats on display both on the water and on land, plus a whole heap of other activities including demonstrations, music, excellent dining options and more.
Melbourne Boat Show
13-16 June 2019
Celebrating it’s 59th year, the RACV Marine Melbourne Boat Show is a major event on Melbourne’s calendar and features a wide array of boats, equipment, gadgets and accessories on display from exhibitors, as well as a stack of entertainment for all ages, competitions and more.
Located at Clarendon Street, South Wharf at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Brisbane Boat Show
23-25 August 2019
One of the most awaited marine and boat trade shows in Brisbane is arriving in two days at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Bank.
Brisbane Boat Show will be exhibiting locally and internationally produced boats and water vessels, as well as the gears and equipment you need. See major suppliers display their new releases and exclusive deals that are only available on the show.
A Boating Safety Zone, and educational and interactive area where visitors can get information and advice about keeping the waterways safe, protecting the marine environment and making better boating experiences will be set up for the show. The Boating Safety Zone will be hosted by Marine Safety QLD, with participation from QLD Boating and Fisheries Patrol, Brisbane Water Police, Coastguard, and QLD Parks and Wildlife.
The ticket price for adults is $15, $5 for children, and $12 for senior citizens and pensioners. A special pricing of $35 is available for families and all tickets after 5 PM are just $5. There are 4,500 parking spots on site, so go ahead and bring the whole family to enjoy the show.
Perth International Boat Show
20-23 September 2019
Perth residents, your turn to see a live exhibition of different boats and marine vessels is coming up next month!
The new Club Marine Perth International Boat Show will be held at Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) and nearby Elizabeth Quay Waterfront Complex. It is a major boating show in all of WA and will feature the gorgeous Swan River.
Visitors can expect different exhilarating activities and attractions for the enjoyment of the whole family. You can also see new boats on display from various exhibitors like West Coast Suzuki Marine and LeisureCat Australia (big boats), Hobie Asia Pacific (canoes and kayaks), Seadoo Sports and Leisure (jet ski), and Aquasports Marine (trailer boats).
If you are coming from places outside of WA, there are hotels walking distance from the venue where you can stay for the duration of the boat show. Cafes, bars and restaurants line both PCEC and Elizabeth Quay, along with other facilities to make your stay more enjoyable.
